Coming Together to Restore Arlington Hall
A sudden flood damaged one of Dallas’ most beloved historic spaces — your support will help us restore and protect Arlington Hall for generations to come.
On Monday afternoon, January 26, a defective fire sprinkler head caused approximately 55,000 gallons of water to flood Arlington Hall’s Dining Room, Ballroom, and Living Room. Thanks to the swift response of Dallas Fire-Rescue and the immediate action of our Turtle Creek Conservancy staff, the water was quickly shut off and cleanup began right away.
While the damage was significant, we are now moving forward with restoration efforts to safely and thoughtfully restore Arlington Hall. This includes professional cleaning and repair of historic floors, specialized care for rugs and curtains, replacement of damaged dining room chairs, and the need for new furniture, fresh interior painting, and replacement artwork impacted by the flooding.
At the same time, we remain fully committed to fundraising in support of both this restoration and our ongoing stewardship of Turtle Creek Park. Arlington Hall is more than a historic building — it is a gathering place for our community and a cherished part of the park we all love.
